ABDULKABIR, ADISA ALIU
GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR/CEO
An experienced graduate of Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, who consistently keeps himself updated and well informed on the industry principles by attending various training programs globally.
Abdulkabir Adisa Aliu being the pioneer Group Chief Executive officer, and a founding member of Matrix Group is charged with the overall responsibility of strategic direction and performance monitoring across the group. Under his leadership, Matrix was listed among the top 100 businesses in Nigeria in 2014, which has been a tremendous achievement for the company.
He has proven himself a professional in business development and also possesses diverse competencies cutting across the spectrum of Engineering, Finance, Trading and Logistics.
The MD has over a decade of experience working with globally recognized oil and gas companies and some of the most respected banks in Nigeria. He is a visionary leader and a forward thinker who is resilient with a unique ability to swiftly overcome challenges. In addition to the above, the MD is also a result- oriented achiever and motivator, a humanitarian and philanthropist who is passionate about his immediate and external environment.
LUQMAN LOLADE SALAM-ALADA
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - DOWNSTREAM
He is trained in Supply Chain Management, Effective Marketing Skills, Strategic Planning and Management. Luqman is a Chemical Engineering graduate from the University of Lagos, an alumnus of emeritus with over a decade experience in Oil Marketing and Trading.
He worked with Oilsteams Limited, BOC Gas and Metropolitan Bank prior to joining Matrix Energy Limited. Luqman handles all the downstream operations and safety aspect of the business. His duty also focuses on areas relating to terminal operations, trading, product supply & marketing, logistics, planning and other non-traditional operations of the company.
AISHA SAID-ALIU
GROUP HEAD, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND
STRATEGY
Aisha holds a B.Sc. Economics from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and has attended many courses in Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Commodity Trading.
Prior to joining Matrix, she worked with Petrodel Resources Limited as a Business Developer/Oil Trader.
In addition to her primary responsibility of handling our Trading activities, she is also tasked with the responsibility of ensuring that we achieve and maintain organic growth by way of partnerships, asset acquisition and extensive risk management.
OLUWATOYIN SHOWUNMI
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - RETAIL
Toyin is a second class upper Division Honors graduate of the Lagos State University and an alumni of the Lagos Business School. She has over a decade experience that covers Marketing, Risk Management, Budgeting and Treasury & Financial Management.
She worked with FCMB Plc, Access Bank Plc and Tanzila Petroleum Company prior to joining Matrix. She oversees the Retail Division, as well as the Supply & Trading and the Supply & Distribution arms of our business.
GANIYU AZEEZ
DIVISIONAL DIRECTOR - LOGISTICS
Ganiyu is a downstream specialist, relationship builder, channel developer, negotiator and sales strategist with a strong desire to win by focusing on being brilliant at the basics first.
Prior to joining Matrix Energy Group, he has in various capacities proven to be an accomplished leader across the downstream value chain with key emphasis on delivering KPI growth, building and retaining teams, as well as delivering operational efficiency in terminal operations and optimizing logistics assets.
Ganiyu was most recently the Chief Operating Officer at Rainoil Limited where he led teams in Sales, LPG, depot operations, trading and logistics. Prior to that, he played a key role in the 100% acquisition of Ascon Oil by the Quest group and was the pioneer COO.
He started his career in Oando Plc and rose rapidly to hold different managerial positions in the downstream division of the business and his bringing on board over 20 years of experience.
Ganiyu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos. He is also an alumnus of Lagos Business School, University of Cape Town and Mack Robison Business School, Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
He Currently oversights over the Group Haulage and Shipping Business Units.
OLABISI BASIRAT SOGUNRO
GROUP HEAD SUPPORT SERVICE
Olabisi is multi-disciplined personnel with over a decade experience in Financial Management, Accounting, Auditing and Tax. She has B.sc. Sociology from University of Ilorin, Kwara State in 2006, MBA Financial Management Metropolitan School of Business and Mgt, UK in 2015, and a student member of Associate Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA).
She trained with Opesanya Alaba & Co (Chartered Accountants) where she acquired several skills in Accounting & Auditing.
Prior to joining Internal Audit and Compliance Department of Matrix Energy Group in 2013, she worked with Finance and Accounts Unit of Nepal Oil & Gas Services Limited.
As the Group Head of our Support Services, she oversees the Human Resources Department, Procurement Functions, General Administration and Project Management.
OLAJIDE AOGO
MANAGING DIRECTOR, MATRIX FERTILIZER
Jide is a registered engineer with a first degree in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ibadan with interest in Energy, Materials and Thermofluid. He also attended MIT and Harvard Business School Executive Education Programs at Boston, MA, the United States of America, where he studied more about launching new ventures, driving corporate performance, management systems, strategy development and implementation, balanced scorecards, enterprise risk management and disruptive strategy.
He is currently the Managing Director of Matrix Fertilizer and saddled with the responsibility of putting in place workable management system and implement growth strategy for the subsidiary.
Before joining Matrix Energy Group he had worked in leading financial institutions such as Standard Trust Bank (now UBA). He also worked as a consultant for various notable organizations within Oil & Gas, Telecommunications, Power and Solid, Mineral sectors.
OLOMURO FREDERICK
GROUP HEAD, HEALTH, SAFETY, SECURITY AND
ENVIRONMENT (HSSE)
Fred studied Mathematics from the premier University of Ibadan. He is a certified ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 lead auditor.
Before joining Matrix, he worked with Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) of Nigeria for over two decades, where he served in various Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) capacities. He jointly pioneered the operationalisation of Shell Nigeria Production Swamp West HSE Cases.
He is currently the Group Head, HSSE with the responsibility to ensure Matrix Energy operates in a safe manner to achieve Goal Zero.
RIANAT HASSAN-ABDULLAHI
GROUP HEAD FINANCE AND ACCOUNT
Rianat is a chartered accountant with over 8 years impressive experience in financial and accounting operations. She has a Second-Class upper degree in Finance and a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Lagos. She is also an associate member of both The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria(ICAN) and The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).
Prior to joining Matrix, she worked as a Tax Administrative Officer with the Internal Revenue Service, Oyo State. She is currently the Group Head, Finance and Account, where she is responsible for Budget & Planning, Treasury Management, Financial Reporting and Tax Compliance.
OLUSEGUN ADEJORO
GROUP HEAD, INTERNAL AUDIT AND COMPLIANCE DEPARTMENT
Olusegun is a graduate of Accounting and holds MBA (Finance) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He is an associate of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) with professional experience in Auditing, Banking, Consulting and Hospitality.
He has over 15 years cognate experience in banking industry with specialty in Risk Management, Internal Audit and Controls. He has attended wide range of courses in Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management.
He is primarily responsible for overseeing compliance within an organization and establishing the standard procedures to ensure that the compliance programs throughout the organization are effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting and correcting noncompliance with applicable laws and regulations.
